Welcome to your toolkit
Talking about grief is hard. Not just for the students, but also for you, as their teacher. During this challenge, you might find some unresolved feelings come up, so it's important you look after yourself.
In this section, you will find some helpful resources to support your wellbeing whilst running this Oracy Challenge.
Some simple ways to check in with yourself during the challenge
Before the challenge
If you are undertaking this challenge have a think about the following things:
What is my current relationship with grief?
Why do I want to be part of this?
What can I do if I am feeling big emotions during the process?
Starting the day
Ending the day
Take a moment to breathe, reflect, and release tension. Share your feelings with someone close, and seek support if needed.
If anything is coming up, prioritise self-care. Below you will find a self-care toolkit and signposting to services.
